Getting started

  1. Download CozyBar. The free trial runs for two weeks and needs no credit card or email address.
  2. Move it to your Applications folder. Drag CozyBar into Applications, then open it from there.
  3. Grant Accessibility. macOS will ask the first time you open CozyBar. This lets it list and manage your windows.
  4. Grant Screen Recording. This lets CozyBar show live window thumbnails. Nothing is recorded, and nothing leaves your Mac.
  5. Use your Mac. The bar appears along the bottom of your screen and starts listing your windows straight away.

How much does CozyBar cost?

A one-time $12.99, converted to €11.99/£9.99 if you're in Europe or the UK.

What information does CozyBar collect?

None. CozyBar runs entirely on your Mac.

No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. The only time CozyBar goes online is to check your license key after you've purchased it.

What permissions does CozyBar need?

Two, and your Mac will ask for both the first time you open CozyBar.

Accessibility
Lets CozyBar manage your open windows i.e. showing their icons in the bar, opening them when you click the icons and minimising or closing them. Without this permission, CozyBar can't do its job.
Screen Recording
Lets CozyBar show live thumbnails of your windows. Contrary to what the name suggests, nothing is actually recorded or saved.
Is there multi-monitor support?

Yes! Our lead designer runs a multi-monitor setup.

Which versions of macOS are supported?

macOS 14 Sonoma and later. As long as you've updated your Mac in the last few years, you should be good to go.

What happens after the trial?

If you enjoyed CozyBar, you can purchase it to continue using it. If we didn't win you over this time, no hard feelings!

Does it work offline?

Yes. CozyBar will never abruptly stop working if your Wi-Fi goes down.
